File conversion

Agora Interactive Whiteboard provides file conversion on its server-side. This feature helps transcode the multi-format files to the formats which can be presented on the whiteboard. Agora supports the following types of document conversion:

• Convert file to image—Static document conversion. Converts PPT, PPTX, Word, and PDF files to images.
• Convert file to web page—Dynamic document conversion. Converts PPTX files to web pages while preserving the animation effects, audio, and video in the original files.

You can initiate a document conversion task with a RESTful API. For enhanced data security, Agora adopts the following mechanisms:

• Forward the task to the Agora node server in the region that you specify in the request.
• Do not save the original document nor the transcoded one. Agora deletes your original document immediately after the conversion task completes; for the trancoded document, Agora returns and stores it in the third-party cloud storage you specify..
