The channel profile is a configuration that Agora uses to apply optimized algorithms for different real-time scenarios. Agora RTC channels support two channel profiles:
Communication profile: Prioritizes smoothness. Applicable to scenarios that require low latency and minimal freezes. In the communication profile, all users in the channel can talk freely. Typical application scenarios are one-to-one and group calls.
Live-broadcasting profile: Prioritizes quality. Applicable to scenarios that require high audio and video quality. In the live-broadcasting profile, users have two roles: Host and audience. The host can send and receive audio and video streams, while the audience can receive audio and video streams with the sending function disabled. Typical application scenarios are interactive live audio streaming and interactive live video streaming.
